PCoIP Direct Connect

In PCoIP direct connections, each PCoIP endpoint connects directly to the IP address or the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the remote workstation. Each PCoIP Client connects directly to PCoIP Agent software installed on the remote workstation. These type of connections can be used for  proof of concepts, trials and small to medium sized LAN deployments where machine assignment flexibility or multi factor assignment may not be required.

In direct connection scenarios—where a broker is not involved—the PCoIP agent acts as its own broker. In these cases, a client user will provide the IP address or FQDN of the agent machine to their client, and the connection is made securely with no intermediate step.

Below is the series of steps involved in a PCoIP direct connection:

Connect using a VPN

PCoIP connections can be established using a VPN. One of the main requirements of using a VPN is that it should be UDP compatible. Refer to the VPN guidelines for more details and requirements. The best alternative to VPN is HP Anyware Manager.
