PCoIP hosts capture and securely deliver the host machine’s pixel output to PCoIP clients. Two types of Windows and Linux PCoIP hosts are Graphics Agent and Standard Agent and macOS has a graphics agent. The PCoIP Graphics Agent is installed on a GPU-powered virtual machine, whereas the PCoIP Standard Agent is installed on a virtual  machine.

System Requirements

1. Ensure that the following ports are open on the host machine,

  • TCP 443   
  • TCP 4172
  • UDP 4172
  • TCP 60443

2.Storage: At least 100MB for installation and 100MB for logging are recommended.
3. Remote Host Memory: At least 2GB of RAM is required on the host desktop for Windows and Linux Agent. For MacOS Agent, 8GB or greater is required.

Installation

1. Install GPU drivers: If you are installing a Windows or Linux Graphics Agents, you need to install the correct driver for your configured GPUs. Be sure to install the specified driver given in the supported GPU list above, and not the latest available version
2. Download the Installer: Refer to the support site to download the required installer.
3. Install the Agent: Refer to the following links for the steps to install agent on  4. Licensing the Agent: The Graphics Agent must be assigned a valid PCoIP session license before it will work. Until you've registered it, you can't connect to the desktop using a PCoIP client. You can either use Cloud Licensing or your own Local license server to license the agent. 

If you are using Teradici Cloud Licensing, you will need to whitelist the following:

  • teradici.flexnetoperations.com
  • teradici.compliance.flexnetoperations.com

System Requirements

1. All PCoIP Agents and versions should work. Teradici recommends using the same version of PCoIP Agent as PCoIP Client.
2. IPv4 and IPv6 supported
3. For Linux OS, if you want to use another OS than Ubuntu, you can use an Ubuntu 18 container. 
 

Installation

1. Download the installer: Refer to the support site to download the installer for soft client
2. Install the Client: Before installing a PCoIP Software Client on Windows and MacOS:
  • You must be logged in as an administrator to the client machine.
  • Close any existing PCoIP Software Client applications.

Establishing Connection (Direct Connect)

You can connect to virtual Windows or Linux hosts that have a PCoIP Standard Agent or PCoIP Graphics Agent installed. Connections can be made directly to individual host machines, or via a connection broker in managed deployments.

1. Double-click the PCoIP Client desktop icon, alias, or program file PCoIPClient to launch the application.

2. In the Host Address or Code field, enter one of the following:

  • For direct connections, provide the address of the host machine.

3. Click NEXT.

4. On the next screen, select your domain from the dropdown list, enter your user name and password for the    desktop, and then click LOGIN. 
If a user only has access to a single desktop, that desktop is automatically selected and the connection is initiated immediately. These users are not presented with a desktop selection screen.
