The SLP Host Discovery option discovers PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards that are in the same subnet of your PCoIP Zero Client in the network and lets you select the PCoIP Remote Workstation Card to which you want to connect. You need to set connection type as "Direct to Host + SLP Host Discovery" in the PCoIP Zero Client either from PCoIP Zero Client OSD screen->Configuration->Session or PCoIP Zero Client Administrative web interface->Configuration->Session.

The Host Discovery setting is enabled by default. When you first try to establish a PCoIP session, you can select the PCoIP Remote Workstation Card in the network without manually entering the IP and MAC address of your PCoIP Remote Workstation Card.

Once a PCoIP session is connected, the most recently connected PCoIP Remote Workstation Card's IP and MAC address are stored in your PCoIP Zero Client. Typically, you want to have your PCoIP Zero Client connect to the same host PC/workstation, the Host Discovery option should be disabled on the PCoIP Zero Client in the Discovery tab of OSD or the Discovery webpage of the Administrative Web Interface. Once disabled, you can connect your PCoIP Zero Client directly to your PCoIP Remote Workstation Card without going through the host discovery process.

Note: SLP Host Discovery uses UDP broadcast packets to discover the PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards. This requires the devices to respond, the host PC/workstation must be powered on in order for Host Discovery to discover the Remote Workstation Card. The maximum number of Remote Workstation Card can be seen in the SLP discovery is 10. A Remote Workstation Card is not discover-able if it is already in session.
