Problem

After purchasing a HP Anyware product you discover the cable shipped with the HP Anyware product does not have the necessary Video/Display connector to interface with your GPU or monitor. To complete the connection an adaptor is used to change the connector on the cable to match the monitor or GPU connector. After connecting the cable you find the display unit does not work or does not work properly.

Cause

Third party adapters can be produced with different standards or qualities that may or may not work correctly.

Resolution

Either of the following methods will rectify the issue.

  • Use a GPU or monitor with the appropriate interface to connect to the OEM supplied cable directly.
  • Ensure any adapter used is recommended by the GPU or monitor vendor.

HP Anyware certified cables are tested to work correctly when connected directly. HP Anyware certifies the following cables supplied with your PCoIP Remote Workstation Card or PCoIP Zero Client:

  • DSM-59 to DVI cable included with the HP Anyware Tera1 host card
  • Mini DisplayPort (mDP) to DP cable included with the HP Anyware Tera2 PCoIP Remote Workstation Card
  • mDP to DVI cable optional with the Tera2 PCoIP Remote Workstation Card
  • Dual Link DVI to Dual Single Link DVI Y-Cable for the Tera2 PCoIP Zero Client

Mini DP to Mini DP cables maybe needed for some Tera2 PCoIP Remote Workstation Card to GPU configurations. Contact your OEM or HP Anyware Sales for options.
