Answer:

USB HID devices fail to initialize on PCoIP session start for HP Z420, Z620, Z820 workstations running BIOS 03.18 -3.68.

HP has resolved the issue in BIOS release  03.69 Rev. A (9 May 2014). The BIOS file name is sp66326.exe.

For more information see the following HP BIOS documentation, and search for Teradici under the ENHANCEMENTS tab.

If a BIOS upgrade is not possible, consider the following workarounds.

Workaround 1

For Tera 2 to Tera 2 connections, connect a USB 2.0 hub to the PCoIP Zero Client and connect your devices to this hub.

Workaround 2

Use the latest version of the Teradici PCoIP Host Software with the Enable Local Cursor and Keyboard option selected. This terminates the local cursor and keyboard at the zero client which solves the problem.
