Minimum and maximum initial image quality sets the lower and upper quality level. The default values in HP Anyware is Q40 for the minimum initial image quality and Q80 for the maximum initial image quality. If PCoIP estimates there is adequate bandwidth available, the initial image will be sent through at the maximum initial image quality. If PCoIP estimates the bandwidth is not adequate for the image to be sent through at the maximum initial image quality PCoIP will reduce the initial image quality and/or frame rate.

Regardless of the initial image quality, PCoIP will improve the quality of unchanged regions of pixels on the screen over subsequent frames until the image quality is perceptually lossless or lossless. For regions of pixels that are constantly changing for reasons such as video playback, the quality will remain at the initial image quality dictated by the available bandwidth or maximum initial image quality. What is "perceptually lossless" and how does Teradici determine it?

Is is recommended that the image quality levels are not set to Q100 unless there is a need for a consistent Q100 level of quality. Should I use an initial image quality of Q100?
