PCoIP is encrypted by default and it cannot be disabled. This makes PCoIP itself secure on untrusted networks. To get PCoIP traffic from untrusted networks to PCoIP Hosts the following options can be used:

  1. Over a VPN that is UDP compatible. An SSL VPN using TCP as the transport layer is not supported.
  2. Using the PCoIP Security Gateway. The PCoIP Security Gateway allows multiple remote clients to connect via the same gateway and external IP.
  3. Via a NAT device with port forwarding, one PCoIP client can connect directly to a PCoIP Agent or Remote Workstation Card (Firmware 4.1 or Later)
