Scenario

When forcing the screen resolution via the OSD  Options>Configure>Display dialog box, if the resolution is set smaller than 1024x768 then display parameters can no longer be changed via the OSD's user interface as portions of the dialog box fall outside the visible area.

Resolution adjustments are reflected immediately on the OSD, making it impossible to see the 'OK', 'Cancel' and 'Apply' buttons.

Answer

Currently the OSD does not scale to fit the screen. Once the display resolution has been set to a resolution smaller than 1024 x 768 the OSD has a fixed size.

Workaround

Disconnect and reconnect (hot-plug) the monitor from the zero client. The native resolution of the display will be restored. In case of multiple monitors, it is only necessary to do this for the primary monitor.

Notes:

  • If an attached display has a native resolution smaller than 1024x768 (as some projectors using 800x600 natively), users will have to adjust resolution with the Management Console.
  • This also applies to All-in-one zero clients since there is no ability to hot-plug the monitor
  • The ability to change preferred resolution via the Management Console was added to Firmware release 4.1.2 and PCoIP Management Console 1.9.1.
