A recent Linux RHEL updates has broken compatibility with the PCoIP Linux Standard Agent.

Affected PCoIP Agents:

  • PCoIP Linux Standard Agent 2.13.0 (RT16)
  • PCoIP Linux Standard Agent 2.14.0 (RT17)

Affected Linux Systems:

  • Linux OS confirmed: RHEL 7.5, RHEL 7.6, CentOS 7.4
  • Component updated: Xorg upgraded to 1.20.1.

Symptoms:

  • Customers running “yum update” on RHEL or CentOS systems to install new Xorg update will end up unable to connect via PCoIP session.

Solutions:

  • We have devised a fix on the display driver.
  • Affected customers just need to run the following commands and the new PCoIP display driver will be automatically downloaded and applied to resolve the issue.
sudo yum install https://downloads.teradici.com/rhel/teradici-repo-latest.noarch.rpm
sudo yum update
sudo reboot
  • For the offline agent systems, you may download the above package separately from a system with Internet access, then transfer it to the offline system for installation.
  • For customers who have not yet experienced this issue (i.e., customers who have not updated Xorg at the moment), they will no longer encounter the problem because the next time they run "yum update", both Xorg and the PCoIP display driver will get updated at the same time, alleviating the incompatibility issue between the two.
