How do I upload certificates to PCoIP Zero Clients and PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards?

Follow the instructions below to upload a PEM certificate to a PCoIP Zero Client or PCoIP Remote Workstation Card (also known as a PCoIP host card) via the Administrative Web Interface (AWI) or the PCoIP Management Console (PCoIP MC). Prerequisites:

  • Certificates must be in PEM format.
  • Certificates must be less than 10240 bytes (10 kB).
  • PCoIP Zero Clients and PCoIP Remote Workstation Card can store up to 16 certificates.
  • Total Certificate Store size is 96 kB (e.g. 16 6kB certificates)
  • The 802.1x client certificate must contain the RSA encrypted private key

 

Certificate upload via AWI

  1. Log in to the AWI.

  2. Navigate to the Upload tab.

  3. Select Certificate.

  4. Click Browse to navigate to the desired PEM certificate and click Open.

  5. Click Upload and click OK to confirm the upload.

  6. If the certificate was uploaded successfully, a success message is displayed. Click Continue.

  7. Click Apply.

Certificate upload via PCoIP Mangement Console 1.x

  1. From the PCoIP Management Console, navigate to the Profiles tab.

  2. Click Set Properties for the desired profile.

  3. Navigate to Certificate Store (at the very bottom of the profile).

  4. Click Add New. Ensure that Do not erase the device's existing certificates is selected unless you want to clear the existing certificate store in the PCoIP Zero Client or PCoIP Remote Workstation Card.

  5. Click Browse to navigate to the desired PEM certificate and click Add.

  6. Apply the profile to the selected devices. 

Certificate upload via PCoIP Mangement Console 2.x and 3.x

  1. From the PCoIP Management Console, navigate to the Profiles tab.

  2. Select a profile and click Edit

  3. Select a settings tab for the desired device type.

  4. Click on Security on the left.

  5. Scroll down to Certificate Store and click the box for Set in Profile.

  6. Click Add New

  7. Select the PEM certificate to upload.

  8. Scroll to the very top and click Save

  9. Apply the profile to the selected devices.
