Scenario

Introduced in Firmware 4.1 is a new feature that allows a keyboard and mouse to be locally terminated behind a hub on a PCoIP Zero Client. Previously all devices on a HUB were treated as one and the keyboard and mouse were remotely terminated.

Answer:

In the Administrative Web Interface Unauthorize all devices in both mass storage and hub class devices (/Permissions/USB). The users retain the functionality of their keyboard and mouse, both in and out of session even when mass storage is disabled.

Then, follow the steps below to authorize only the USB devices that are connected:

  1. Log on to the Administrative Web Interface (AWI) for the Zero Client in question;
  2. Ensure that Firmware r4_1 is installed;
  3. Install the host driver software;
  4. Enable local cursor on the host driver software;
  5. Authorize HID devices.
