What's New in This Release

At HP Inc., our constant endeavour is to enhance our products to best suit your business needs. Our focus in this release was quality, stabilization, usability, and feature enhancements to evolve Anyware Manager into an Enterprise-grade offering with ease of operations. The following details  “What’s New” in Anyware Manager 23.04.1.

Anyware Monitor Bulk Installation and Registration

With significant enhancements in the installation experience, Anyware Monitor can now be deployed and registered on multiple host machines (new or existing) through scripts in this release.

Anyware Monitor Golden Image Installation

Golden image installation for Anyware Monitor allows you to pull and run an installation image on a system. Using bulk installation, the golden image can carry out up to 50 simultaneous installations in a dark site environment.

Alternative  Hostnames

Alternative hostnames can now be configured for workstations with a multiple Network Interfaces Card (NIC). This is useful, especially in provisioning Intel® AMT workflows for ZWorkstations with dual NICs.

Ability to Configure and Reset Admin Passwords

With this release, Administrators must configure a password of choice during installation. Auto generation of the one-time password for Anyware Manager is deprecated with this release. Administrators must provide flag --manager-admin-password <password> for installation to specify the password, otherwise will be prompted for a password. Administrators can run the command anyware-manager configure --reset-manager-password  to reset the password

Log off Users and Customize Session-end Notification Message

In this release, Administrators can terminate active sessions from the Session column on the Remote Workstation page in the Admin Console. A Session-end Notification message is sent to the user if their session is terminated. Administrators can also customize the message to let users know the reason for session termination.

Other improvements and bug fixes

Some minor bugs and security issues were fixed in this release.
