What does a MC license look like? 

The "Activation Code" (license) that are to be used on the Management Console will have a 16 character activation code (1234-5678-ABCD-EFGH in the example below). 

Licenses come by email after you order a Desktop Access or HP Anyware subscription package. 

If you do not see Management Console in the description, you likely have a HP Anyware License.  For detail on how to activate and manage HP Anyware licenses, refer to the FAQ - Licensing HP Anyware

What does the MC license unlock?

The license once activated will allow the MC to manage the "Number of Devices" indicated on the license (60 in the example above).  If you want to increase the number of devices on the MC, you activate another license that will increase the number of devices.  The total number of devices that can be managed from the MC will be the sum of all the licenses that are activated on the MC.

How do I obtain or purchase a MC license?

How can I see the list of licenses that have been purchased?

All licenses that are purchased are available on your HP Anyware License portal.  The purchaser of your licenses will have access to the portal:

How do I activate or de-activate my license?

The Management Console provides a GUI in the SETTING > LICENSE area of your MC where you can activate or de-activate your MC license.

How can I transfer my activated license to a new Management Console?

To use your license on a new Management Console, you will first need to deactivate the license from your old Management Console.  Once the license is de-activated, it is then available to activate on the new device.  Instructions are here.

What are the recommended steps for upgrading the Management Console?

My license key does not activate on my Management Console, what could be wrong?

There are a few reasons why a license may not be able to activate on your management console. The most common reasons are that either your license has expired, or that your environment is not setup to be able to access the back end HP Anyware license activation server (teradici.flexnetoperations.com)

My renewal license key does not show new expiry date on my Management Console after activating, what could be wrong?

The most common reason is old license is not returned prior to activating it during the renewal step.  To fix, follow the steps provided here .

My license has stopped working, what could be wrong?

The most common reason why a license has stopped working is that it has expired.  License expire at midnight on the "Valid Until Date" shown on your licensing e-mail.  The license could also be broken since it detected that the license was copied or there was an attempt to roll back time.  Guidance on solving these issues can be found in the following articles:
