The PCoIP Graphics Agent for Windows enables Teradici customers to deliver virtual Windows desktops or custom applications to remote users as part of Teradici Cloud Access Software.

The PCoIP Graphics Agent is installed on a GPU-powered virtual machine. End users connect to their remote desktops via a PCoIP client, either directly or via a connection broker.

Degraded performance in PCoIP Graphics Agent for Windows 22.07+

We have had reports of degraded frame rates and image quality when using the PCoIP Graphics Agent for Windows 22.07 and higher. Specifically:

  • Reduced frame rate when using GPU Offload or Auto Offload. As a workaround, set your PCoIP agent to use CPU offload. Note that using this mode may significantly increase bandwidth consumption.
  • Degraded image quality due to incorrect automatic bandwidth reduction. As a workaround, set an explicit bandwidth floor in your PCoIP agent configuration. For guidance on assessing a bandwidth floor, see the PCoIP Session Planning Guide.

You can also downgrade to PCoIP Graphics Agent for Windows version 22.04.1, which has been reinstated as a supported release.

We are actively working on a fix for these issues and will release an update as soon as possible.
